30 years ago, the Berlin Wall fell. For those that were then 30, 1989 marked a completely new start. For those born then, it was the actual start to life. Two generations talk with each other about German unity, freedom and democracy, and dare to look to the future. In this NDR documentary, 12 people from Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania born in 1959 and 1989 take part in an experiment to look at the GDR, reunification and the year in which the Wall came down from different perspectives.
