A young man goes through a manic episode and enters a psychiatric hospital. His partner struggles with her helplessness in the face of the disease and blames herself for admitting him. The Sound of Birds Stops the Noise in my Mind captures in partly intimate, partly clinically distanced images the inner conflict of a woman who is going through a crisis with her partner. Meanwhile, above all there is the question of what love can endure.
