What begins as a shopping trip to purchase menstrual pads quickly turns into a conspicuously inconspicuous chase through the supermarket for a young woman of colour. One employee keeps an eye on her and follows her every move, which culminates in a final confrontation in the snack isle. Swêdî is a film about everyday demoralizing racism and powerlessness in the face of a society that you apparently can never be part of.
