For too much time we haven't thought about the waste we produce. It seemed to disappear into a country or dimension called "away" as soon as we dump it in the garbage or flush it down the toilet. But today we know that it remains in the form of microparticles that accumulate in soil, water and air — and thus sooner or later in our bodies.
