In a small Polish border village hair salons are lined up one after the other. Halina rules over her salon by the same name, as well as over her young employee Andżela. She tries to be a teacher and mother to her, but while doing so she oversteps Andżela’s bounds more often than not. The customers sitting in the hairdresser's chairs, who came from nearby Germany, also grant insights into their life stories, wishes and hopes.
