Insatiable in the quest for the next and bigger step, man wants to go further and higher. Developments in robotics and artificial intelligence promise this today through an increasing fusion of man and machine. m ā c h ĭ n ā m e n provides an insight into our search for ever new adrenaline rushes through progress, based on the announcement of the first moon flight by US President J.F. Kennedy in 1961.
