The NDR Landesfunkhaus Mecklenburg-Vorpommern has been a media partner of dokumentART – films & future for many years and is the donor of the audience award, worth €1,000. This year we’re presenting two programmes with five films spanning different genres in the NDR Special.
The afternoon programme features the story of an artist who sets up an open studio in a concrete high-rise flat and captures various moments in the lives of the residents in pictures. Another film documents the operation to extinguish the biggest forest fire in the history of Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, in which 4,000 firefighters fought against flames for five days and nights.
The evening programme focuses on the 30th anniversary of the fall of the Berlin Wall with a film from the series Wie geht das? and two time-travel episodes in which two generations talk about German unity, freedom and democracy in a blind date. We will also be presenting the multimedia project 30-30.
