Artist Michael Frahm has a mission: to paint the happiness of his neighbours. To help accomplish it, the local housing association puts him up in a newly renovated GDR flat block on the outskirts of Schwerin for six months. In this time, something happens. People talk to each other through art. They get to know each other. Friendships develop. The experiment becomes a touching journey for everyone.
