Impressiv monumental panorama shots of a Russian industrial landscape in the Arctic zone: Viktor Brim leads us into the comprehensively designed, anthropocene world of nature and life of the "New Man". He is enthroned above his work, his landscape. In contrast, there are real people, sparsely, inconspicuous and tiny. They are workers without identity who appear between, beside or in the "objects and artifacts" and disappear again. They seem superfluous. It is not the human being who is the focus of attention, but, as the filmmaker puts it, the post-apocalyptic landscape itself.
